What exactly is a paint protection film made from?

You have heard about many of the benefits of paint protection film packages, but you are left wondering how it is all possible. STEK Paint Protection Film products are made from a flexible and fully transparent polyurethane layer, applied with adhesive to the exterior of an automobile to help it stay safe from common minor surface defects and rock chips.

What surfaces is paint protection film applied to?

Paint protection film here at Portland Pro Detail can be installed on virtually any painted surface of your car, truck, or SUV’s exterior. PPF is meant to prevent swirl marks, light scratching, rock chips, oxidation, and etching from causing your finish to look unsightly. These products are not intended for application to wheels or rims to prevent contamination.

Is a PPF self-healing against dents & damage?

What paint protection film resists is common surface scratches.
